On October 4, 2005, ten women came together with one vision: to create a space where service, sisterhood, and achievement were more than ideas—they were lived values. Over time, life took many of those women in different directions, but three remained steadfast. The Incorporators (Erika Jones, Shawnee Sumpter and Shatora Jones) adopted K.K.I.N.S.O. as their own, carrying it forward for two decades with no breaks, no days off, and no hesitation.

When K.K.I.N.S.O. was founded, the bond with the men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. was strong, but auxiliary groups were fading away. Even though they entered through a historic bond, what truly set the Incorporators apart was their relentless service.
From Indiana University to Florida A&M University, they poured into communities of color where support, mentorship, and networks were desperately needed. They discovered that their direct work—mentoring young women, building programs, and standing in the gap—impacted lives in ways volunteering for larger organizations could not.
For them, service was never about recognition, trends, or social media moments. It was about creating real, lasting change!

Though K.K.I.N.S.O. began with ten, only three women continued to carry the bond. They stood together when others stepped away, showing that sisterhood is not measured by numbers but by consistency, sacrifice, and loyalty.
What makes their story even more powerful is that they were already deeply connected to other organizations, yet they chose to pour their energy into shaping K.K.I.N.S.O. into something new. They've poured into communities, created networks where women were needed most, and proved that real impact goes beyond.
Through every challenge and transition, their trust in one another and their bond as sisters became the heartbeat of the organization.

The Brilliance of a Diamond Leadership Academy is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders within K.K.I.N.S.O. Through intentional training, mentorship, and development opportunities, the academy equips members with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to thrive in organizational leadership and beyond. Rooted in the values of service, sisterhood, and resilience, this program empowers participants to shine as leaders who make lasting impacts in their chapters, regions, and communities.
